• Confirmed that long detention times (periods of low flow) are causing in anaerobic conditions in the force main

• Hydrogen sulfide is released to the atmosphere during initial aeration at the lagoons

• Almost 90% of odor emissions are originating from Lagoon Cells 1/2 East and West

• Routing all flows through new headworks will not result in considerable reduction of odors

• Need to treat odors at the plant or prevent the formation of sulfides before the wastewater enters the lagoons
