We tried to stay within our budget for labor and materials by conserving on overtime and materials, while striving to maintain a high level of service.

Even with 4 new employees to be added to the Street Division, we will still be short of the original 24. We were very fortunate not to have had any water or sewer main breaks, which would have required 5-6 employees pulled off of the plows to address line repairs.

When Solid Waste can go fully automated, more staff will be freed up to assist where needed.

We cut back on salt due to the delay in shipment from the supplier. Other cities ran out, but we had enough, thanks to our capability to store large amounts under the new salt dome.
